Requirements:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the solar manufacturing strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency improvements, and technological advancements.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of the solar manufacturing process, including production planning, material procurement, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and quality control.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including production managers, engineers, and technicians. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain robust quality control systems and processes to ensure the consistent production of high-quality solar plant components. Oversee quality audits and implement necessary improvements.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage the solar manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies within the solar manufacturing facility. Promote a strong safety culture.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques.
Supply Chain
Collaboration:
Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely and efficient procurement of materials and components.
Technology Adoption:
Stay abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies and evaluate their potential application to improve efficiency and product quality.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on solar manufacturing performance, key metrics, and improvement initiatives for senior management.
Responsibilities:
Must have 7+ years of progressive experience in Solar module manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Experience in budget management and cost control.
Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant manufacturing software.
Prior experience in setting up or scaling up solar manufacturing facilities is a must.
