BML Munjal University is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Manager – Maintenance (Electrical) to oversee the electrical infrastructure and maintenance operations of the University campus. The role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong team leadership to ensure uninterrupted campus utilities and optimal facility performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Infrastructure Management
Oversee operation and maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, switch gear, and distribution networks.
Ensure reliable power supply across academic blocks, hostels, laboratories, administrative buildings, and residential areas.
Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
2. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with statutory electrical safety norms and applicable regulations.
Coordinate periodic electrical inspections and audits.
Maintain records for regulatory authorities and internal audits.
Implement campus-wide electrical safety standards and emergency response systems.
3. Team & Vendor Management
Lead and supervise electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
Manage AMC contracts and third-party service providers.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure SLA adherence.
Prepare technical specifications and support procurement processes.
4. Project Execution
Support electrical design and execution of new campus projects or expansions.
Review drawings, BOQs, and technical submissions.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors.
Ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
5. Budgeting & Planning
Prepare annual maintenance budgets.
Optimize operational expenditure.
Plan long-term infrastructure upgrades and modernization initiatives.
6. Sustainability & Energy Management
Drive energy conservation initiatives.
Explore renewable energy integration (e.g., solar systems).
Implement smart monitoring systems for utilities.
Educational Qualification
B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
Additional certifications in Electrical Safety, Energy Management, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
13–18 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and infrastructure management.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
Experience in large institutional campuses, universities, hospitals, industrial plants, or corporate facilities preferred.
