Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

· Research, evaluate, and conduct proof-of-concept (POC) assessments on both commercial and open-source security technologies, including but not limited to network security monitoring, endpoint security, and inline network security devices.

· Configure firewalls to optimize network efficiency and enhance security.

· Coordinate scheduled upgrades and investigate network faults.

· Gather information on cases and independently work towards issue resolution, knowing when to escalate for assistance. Gain experience in utilizing monitoring and debugging tools to analyze problems and identify solutions.

· Investigate and resolve technical issues specifically related to firewalls and data security.

· Deliver high-quality technical support to clients at all levels.

· Prepare network diagrams and documentation during and after deployment, including detailed troubleshooting steps according to the company's template.
Must-Have

Skills:

· Experience designing, implementing, and supporting Next-Generation Firewall products like:
Fortinet, Palo alto & Checkpoint, Cisco etc.

· Working knowledge on Endpoint security EDR, DLP.

· Hands-on experience in handling technologies like NMS, WAF, DDOS, VPN, and IPS.

· Hands on experience in NAC solutions like Cisco ISE.

· Should have hands-on experience in configuring Wi-Fi access points, controllers, and Wi-Fi security solutions.

· Hands-on experience on email security and Proxy solutions.

· Network fundamentals should be clear.

· Wireshark (or anything similar) - packet capture and analysis of the captures

· Excellent knowledge of switching technologies and concepts such as STP, VRRP, VTP, Stacking, LLDP, L2 Security & 2/3 Tier architecture
