Salsify Engineer

The Salsify Engineer is responsible for designing, developing/configuring and maintaining Salsify PIM application.. This role involves implementing custom features, integrating third-party services, and ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of Salsify PIM.
Should have understanding of product info, associated meta data, data modelling and integrating Salsify with eCommerce ecosystem (SFCC B2B, Umbraco CMA, Tenovos DAM, SAP ERP etc.,)

Responsibilities
Design and Development :
Design, build, and configure applications using the Salsify platform, often involving custom coding and user interface development.
Integration :
Develop and maintain API integrations (REST/SOAP) between Salsify and other enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, DAM, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Amazon).
Data Management :
Manage product data, including importing, organizing, enriching, and structuring data within Salsify's data model and taxonomy.
Content Syndication :
Configure and optimize content syndication workflows to automatically distribute accurate product content to various retailer and marketplace channels.
Workflow Automation :
Automate manual processes and enhance Salsify workflows using the platform's capabilities and potentially AI-powered features.
Testing and Support :
Perform unit and user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Collaboration :
Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, marketing, IT, and e-commerce specialists to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
Documentation :
Create and maintain technical documentation, including process workflows, technical specifications, and user guides.

Qualifications
4-7 years of experience in IT with 3+ years experience in Salsify PIM implementations and maintenance
Experience in using Git Hub & knowledge on CI/CD is mandatory. Experience in continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests, Continuous delivery is needed
Proven understanding of Scrum and agile principles
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Dedication to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to successfully connect with both business and technical teams
Proficiency in Salsify PXM Platform:
Deep, hands-on experience with Salsify's core features, data models, workflows, and syndication capabilities.
Programming

Languages:

Experience with relevant programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is often required for custom solutions and integrations.
API and Web Services:
Strong understanding and experience with API frameworks, REST and SOAP-based web services, and data formats like JSON and XML.
Database Knowledge:
Familiarity with database concepts, data modelling, and query languages (e.g., SQL).
E-commerce and PIM Understanding:
Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, product information management (PIM), and digital asset management (DAM) principles.
Software Development Lifecycle:

Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Problem-Solving & Communication:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Cloud Platform

Experience:

Familiarity with cloud hosting concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is often beneficial.
