We are partnering with a fast-scaling, venture-backed technology company building a category-defining B2B commerce platform powered by data and AI.

The company is reimagining how small-town retailers source fashion inventory — replacing fragmented offline wholesale markets with a high-trust, tech-enabled ecosystem that combines trend intelligence, digital discovery, live commerce, and optimized supply chains.

They are now looking for a  Director of Engineering  to take ownership of execution, scale the engineering function, and build the systems that will power the next phase of growth.

What You’ll Own
This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role. You won’t just manage teams — you’ll build systems, raise the engineering bar, and drive velocity across the org.

Own engineering execution end-to-end — architecture, delivery, reliability, and scalability
Build and scale a high-caliber engineering team across backend, frontend, data, and Dev Ops
Design and evolve cloud-native, distributed systems handling high-volume catalog and transaction flows
Drive AI/ML integration across trend forecasting, demand prediction, and supply optimization
Partner deeply with founders and product leaders to translate ambitious business goals into shipping systems
Establish strong engineering culture — code quality, Dev Ops maturity, security, performance, and accountability
Make decisive calls on tech stack, build vs. buy, and platform evolution

What We’re Looking For
8–12 years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, or platform architecture
Currently operating as a Senior Engineering Manager / Director of Engineering / Tech Lead managing multiple teams
Proven track record of building and scaling products in high-growth startup environments
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Cloud-native architectures (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend systems
Data platforms and production-grade AI/ML systems
Experience building for commerce, marketplace, supply-chain, or data-heavy platforms is a strong plus

You should be:
Comfortable going deep technically when required
Obsessed with execution speed and engineering quality
Strong at hiring, mentoring, and retaining top-tier talent
Energized by ambiguity and zero-to-one → one-to-scale journeys
