Summary of the Role
We are looking for Admissions & Outreach Counsellor (PG Programs) for the Indian campus of a UK-based university.
This is a core admissions and conversion role, responsible for counselling prospective students and parents, owning the end-to-end admissions funnel, and delivering confirmed enrolments against defined targets.
The role requires prior experience working within an Indian university or HEI, a strong understanding of PG admissions cycles, and a proven ability to convert enquiries into enrolled students through disciplined follow-ups and consultative counselling.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end PG admissions lifecycle from enquiry to confirmed enrolment
- Counsel prospective students and parents on program fit, eligibility, entrance exams, timelines, and career outcomes
- Achieve monthly and intake-wise enrolment targets through structured counselling and follow-up
- Convert leads generated via digital campaigns, walk-ins, referrals, education fairs, and outreach events
- Plan and execute participation in education fairs, campus open houses, and outreach activities
- Maintain accurate lead data, follow-up notes, and conversion status on CRM systems
- Track and report daily, weekly, and intake-level conversion metrics and funnel performance
- Coordinate closely with admissions, marketing, and academic teams to ensure timely offer issuance and enrolment
- Act as a trusted advisor to students and parents while balancing ethical counselling with enrolment goals
Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of admissions experience with an Indian university or higher education institution (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in PG admissions (eligibility checks, applications, offer process, enrolment closure)
- Demonstrated conversion success (enquiries → applications → confirmed admissions)
- Experience handling admissions targets and intake deadlines
- Exposure to education fairs, campus outreach, or institutional events
- Working knowledge of CRM systems (Lead Squared, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar)
- Strong counselling and persuasion skills with students and parents
- Fluent communication in English and Hindi (regional languages a plus)
