Responsibilities
Provide timely, high quality client service as part of the client engagement teams serving large and small companies in a variety of industries.
Develop strong working relationships while working closely with teams to understand and solve clients' complex businesses and challenges.
Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues
Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the RSM US audit approach, methodology and tools
Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology based overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
Researching technical accounting issues
Developing industry expertise
Preparing audit reports, and management letters
Exercising professional skepticism, judgment and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements
Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm
Working collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals
Provide supervision and development training for associates
Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients
Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables
Understanding RSM US and RSM Delivery Center's line of business service capabilities and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery
Ensuring professional development through ongoing education
Participate in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams
Demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work.
Provide oversight to senior associates and associates, including training and development activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors in Commerce
Qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / Licensed CPA
Non-qualified: 6+ years of relevant experience
CA qualified + 4 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 5 years relevant experience
Strong technical skills in accounting including GAAP and GAAS
Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States based engagement teams
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and Power Point
Experience in “ TMT” industry
