Job Description:
Deli Clerk

• Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
• Follows proper wrapping and packaging procedure; including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap and/or container.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age; follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment.
• Follows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products.
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Maintains a neat and clean work area.
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
• Perform all job functions with limited supervision.
• May be required to decorate cakes.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in temperature extremes, (frozen foods and storage cooler maximum low temperature,
  -10 degrees).
• Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of deli manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
