Location: Guntersville, AL, 35976
Qualifications:
- Valid permit or license following the Alabama Board of Interpreters and Transl iterators (ALBIT) state requirements
- Fluency in American English and American Sign Language (ASL)
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree (or) complete a minimum of 48 semester hours of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or) successfully completed the Alabama State Board of Education approved Workkeys test
- Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups
- Ability to comprehend and interpret both oral and written directives relevant to the instructional procedures and other classroom activities
- Ability to identify and solve problems as a productive team member
- Ability to use technology to communicate, manage data, and produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information
- Physical strength, stamina, dexterity, and acuity to perform essential job functions and responsibilities
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with administrators, teachers, parents, and other school system staff to ensure the effective implementation of IEPs for designated students
- Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance
