Position consists of operating a weedeater, edger, blower, mower, hedge trimmer, garden tools. Will maintain residential and commercial properties on a regular schedule. Must be able to work outside in the heat.
Summary / ObjectiveThe Landscape Laborer is responsible for Property Landscape Maintenance.
Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Assists with unloading of work trucks and delivery trucks. Make sure trucks have water/ice. Make sure all equipment is loaded such as weed-eater string, edger blades. Clean truck and equipment at the end of each day. Fuel truck and equipment at the end of each day.
- Assists with site setup of plant materials. Must be able to trim shrubs, install flowers/plant material, install mulch, install pine straw and other materials as needed.
- Ensures that job site staging area is clean and organized.
- Must be able to operate gas powered hand-tools such as Stick Edger, String Trimmer, Blower, Gas Trimmer, Chain Saw. Must be able to use hand tools such as rake, shovels pitch fork. Uses all tools according to company safety policy.
- Complies with company safety policy at all times.
- Time Management.
- Initiative.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time;
be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday.
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required.
