- Provides clinical services to youth and families in the Canopy Anywhere Solution.
- Supports implementation of therapeutic services through evidence‑based assessment, treatment planning, crisis response, clinical interventions, and aftercare planning to facilitate increased health and hope.
- Establishes a comprehensive therapeutic relationship with youth and families through individual, family, and group therapy for the school districts in which the therapist is assigned.
- Master’s degree in an applied mental health field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in related services.
- Mississippi license or certification preferred.
- Eligibility to obtain a Mississippi license or certification.
- Demonstrated competence working with families and youth.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Communicates in a therapeutic and professional manner.

- Assess suicidal intent and demonstrate knowledge of the Canopy Suicide Protocol.
- Assess and plan for mitigation of risk within the treatment plan.
- Creates detailed and individualized safety plans.
- Knows available clinical assessments and identifies when to utilize them based on presenting problems, age, background, and developmental level.
- Uses assessments to gather information and create and review the youth’s individualized treatment plan.
- Writes goals in a measurable and meaningful way incorporating the youth/family voice.
- Creates objectives clearly related to the identified goals.
- Plans evidence‑based interventions suited for the youth based on diagnosis and clinical assessment.
- Writes and develops treatment plans that are understandable and not overwhelming to the youth and family.
- Creates holistic treatment plans incorporating all interventions and supports available.
- Develops therapeutic rapport.
- Articulates therapy guided by the treatment plan.
- Knows evidence‑based treatments and interventions.
- Appropriately uses evidence‑based interventions based on youth and family background, diagnosis, age, developmental level, and safety plan.
- Conducts effective evidence‑based group activities when applicable.
- Understands purpose of collaborative documentation and accomplishes it during session.
- Uses the GIRPP format accurately and effectively when writing clinical notes.
- Understands when mandating reporting occurs and verbalizes the process.
