Overview
The Patient Resources Manager is responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of the Patient Resources Management offices. The role works closely with the Director of Utilization/Case Management to ensure that the daily department operational needs are met. The Manager is responsible for organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing office operations and procedures, and organizing orientation and training of new staff members.
Expectation is that all duties are performed in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organizations, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.

Responsibilities- Maintain the operational efficiency of the Patient Resources Management offices.
- Work closely with the Director of Utilization/Case Management to meet daily department operational needs.

- Education
:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Social Work. Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred. - License
:
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Social Worker in the State of Mississippi. - Certifications
:
Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer. - Experience
:
Required 3 years of utilization and/or case management experience with a registered nurse license or social work license. Preferred 3 years of supervisor or leadership experience in a hospital environment.

Physical DemandsWork is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent requirements to move about the office and facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Exerting a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Work involves repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers while using standard office equipment such as a computer keyboard. May involve exposure to body fluids, sputum, and tissues with potential infectious disease risk.
Requires close visual acuity and ability to shift gaze between computer monitors and printed materials.
Demonstrate keen mental faculties, decision-making abilities, and superior communication skills. Maintain emotional stability to handle high-stress situations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail and multitasking in complex environments; maintain collaborative and respectful relationships across SRHS and partner organizations.
Special DemandsMust possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Proficient computer skills (keyboard proficient) and familiarity with MS Outlook and Word, as well as other office technology (telephone, fax, etc.). Must demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply professional skills to a patient population of all ages.
