Primary Care Provider - Doctor of Osteopathy (Functional Medicine)

• Our functional medicine clinic is dedicated to a patient-centered, holistic approach to healthcare. We believe in treating the individual, not just the disease, by identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic illness. Our practice combines advanced diagnostic testing with personalized therapeutic interventions, including nutritional, lifestyle, and supplemental support, to help our patients achieve optimal health and well-being.

• We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to join our team as a Functional Medicine Physician. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the osteopathic philosophy, which aligns perfectly with the principles of functional medicine. This physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive, root-cause-oriented care to a diverse patient population. They will work collaboratively with our team to develop personalized treatment plans and empower patients to take an active role in their health journey.

• Conduct comprehensive initial and follow-up patient consultations, with a focus on gathering a detailed medical history, lifestyle factors, and environmental influences.
• Order and interpret a wide range of standard and specialized laboratory tests to identify underlying imbalances, such as those related to gut health, hormonal function, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental toxins.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that address the root causes of disease, utilizing a combination of lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, stress management), nutritional supplements, and, when necessary, conventional medical therapies.
• Educate and guide patients on the principles of functional medicine, empowering them to make sustainable changes for long-term health.
• Utilize osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) as a therapeutic tool to diagnose and treat somatic dysfunction, support the body's natural healing processes, and improve overall function.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nutritionists, health coaches, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with clinic policies and legal requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in functional and osteopathic medicine through continuing education.

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution and licensed in the State of Mississippi
• Current and unrestricted state medical license.
• Board certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-college (i.e., after completion of medical school and residency).
• Additional training and/or certification in functional medicine (e.g., from the Institute for Functional Medicine) is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to a holistic, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
• Proficiency in performing Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) and a strong understanding of the osteopathic philosophy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and address complex health issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
