Job Summary:
A Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience while evaluating guest room and public areas for property cleanliness and quality control. He/she can help in setting department targets and objectives in absence of the Executive Housekeeper and assisting his/her direct supervisor in all areas of the housekeeping department.
Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee housekeeping operations in the hskp manager absence
- Inspect assigned rooms and ensure they are cleaned to standards
- Oversee Laundry Operations
- Ensure everyone in the department is trained and using Quore on a daily basis
- Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules
- Inspect, regularly, all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance to standards and take action as necessary to conform to standard
- Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping/Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
- Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities
- Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
- Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
- Ensure ongoing training
- Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team
- Complete linen inventory for the hotel
- Maintains data and information for property management systems
- Assist other departments wherever necessary
- Be a Brand Ambassador of A&R’s Culture, Mission and Values
- At least 1 years of experience in housekeeping/laundry and previous experience of managing a department and or related experience
- Prior successful performance as a Housekeeper
- A high school certificate or equivalent
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Entry level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
- Physical:
Must be able to stand for periods of time; ability to lift to 25 lbs.; may require frequent bending, stooping and kneeling - Mathematical:
Must be able to use basic mathematical techniques including percentages and ratios
