Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner
Leeds (Hybrid - 2 days office)
Up to £60,000

This is a newly expanded commercial finance role created to strengthen how finance partners with sales and commercial leadership. The scope has grown beyond a traditional analyst remit and now sits as a true business partner across multiple channels, brands and UK sites.

The focus is firmly on the top half of the P&L, margin, pricing, trade spend and commercial decision-making, with real autonomy to improve how things are done.

You’ll act as the finance lead for a defined group of commercial stakeholders, working as an extension of their team rather than a reporting function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning commercial month-end for your areas, including margin and sales analysis
• Partnering closely with senior commercial managers and directors across retail, food service and OOH
• Budgeting and forecasting for commercial lines, with visibility at exec level
• Pricing, costing and promotional effectiveness analysis
• Presenting clear, practical insight to non-finance stakeholders
• Improving processes, reporting and ways of working in a legacy environment
• Supporting the development of Power BI / improved commercial reporting over time

• Commercial teams trust you and bring you into decisions early
• Margin and performance conversations are clearer and better evidenced
• Budgets and forecasts are tighter, more useful, and less painful for stakeholders
• Reporting is simpler, sharper, and more forward-looking than before

• Proven experience in commercial finance within FMCG or manufacturing
• Confident business partner, comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong Excel skills;
  Power BI or Tableau experience would be useful but not essential
• Solid grounding in margin, pricing, trade spend and sales analysis
• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience, flexibility here
• Someone who enjoys autonomy and improving how things work, not just running reports

• Salary up to £60,000
• Hybrid working (typically 2 days in the Leeds office; more during month-end)
