Commercial Finance Analyst (Pricing & Profitability) Leeds (Hybrid) £45,000 - £60,000
This business runs on data - but they know they can get more out of it.
They're profitable, growing, and operating in a complex, margin-sensitive environment. What they need now is a Commercial Finance Analyst who can really get under the skin of pricing and profitability - and turn high volumes of data into insight the business can actually use.
Based in Leeds, you'll sit at the centre of commercial decision-making, working closely with the CFO, Commercial Director, Operations Director amongst other stakeholders. This isn't a role that exists just to produce reports. It's about understanding how pricing, cost and operational decisions show up in the numbers - and helping the business make better ones.
What you'll be doing:You'll own pricing models and lead margin analysis by customer and service, and support decisions around rate changes, uplifts and cost pass-throughs. You'll also help build and maintain robust commercial reporting, developing dashboards and models in Excel, Power BI and the Power Platform.
There's a strong systems and data angle too - maintaining data integrity, implementing price changes into billing systems, and producing clear, timely reporting for the Board. You'll support long‑term planning, budgeting and forecasting, and contribute ESG reporting into the monthly Board pack.
It's hands‑on, analytical and commercially focused. You'll be expected to challenge assumptions, sense‑check complex models, and explain what the numbers actually mean - particularly to non‑finance stakeholders.
What you'll need:You’ll need strong Excel and modelling skills, solid Power BI experience, and a background in pricing and margin analysis within a B2B, data‑heavy environment. Confidence, attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly are essential. Whether you're a qualified accountant or qualified by experience, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that you are a commercial finance specialist with strong data analysis and technical reporting expertise.

- Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
