About the role...As a Rendering Engineer, you will work closely with the wider rendering and engineering teams to help develop and optimise real‑time rendering and graphics technology across AAA projects. You will collaborate daily with engineers, artists, and technical artists, contributing directly to the creation of immersive, high‑quality visual experiences.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in rendering who is eager to grow, learn from senior peers, and contribute to technically and artistically ambitious projects.
What you’ll be doing :- Develop and optimise real‑time rendering features under guidance from senior engineers
- Assist with the implementation of shaders, lighting systems, and rendering effects
- Collaborate across engineering, art, and technical art teams to achieve high visual quality
- Support performance and memory optimisation efforts across platforms
- Contribute to maintaining and improving the studio’s rendering pipeline
- Research and experiment with modern rendering techniques and workflows
- Identify, investigate, and help resolve rendering‑related bugs and technical issues
- Professional experience in a rendering‑focused role within the games industry
- Hands‑on experience working with Unreal Engine
- Strong C++ programming skills and solid understanding of 3D maths
- Good knowledge of real‑time rendering techniques, shaders, and lighting systems
- Understanding of performance optimisation principles
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong interest in real‑time graphics and staying up to date with modern rendering technology
- Experience with additional programming or scripting languages
- Background working on large‑scale, real‑time, or multiplayer games
- Hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week on site
