Aramark UK is proud to support the Defence sector, and we’re looking for a General Service Assistant to join our team at Alexander Barracks. If you’re passionate about great service and want to be part of a team that makes a difference every day, we’d love to hear from you.

• As a General Service Assistant, you’ll be front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include:
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery.
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas.
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made‑to‑order services.
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate display of merchandise.
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the work.
• Perform daily paperwork.
• Keep diligent records as required.
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.

• £12.21 per hour.
• 35 hours/week, 5 days out of 7, shift times between 06:00 and 20:00.

• A friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus – but not essential, full training provided.
• Must be 18+.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required).
• Food hygiene certificate.
• Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be provided.
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Own or reliable transport required due to remote location and limited public transport.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
