Production Engineer – Manufacturing
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company based in Guildford who are looking to recruit a Production Engineer to support and improve their production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Provide technical support to production teams and resolve manufacturing issues
- Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and process validation
- Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation
- Liaise with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production flow
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience as a Production Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem‑solving tools
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and a practical, hands‑on approach
