Overview
Bar Team Member - Guildford Mulligans
Role information:
Adventure Leisure’s Guildford site is seeking a Bar Team Member to deliver outstanding service behind the bar, craft drinks, maintain a clean, well-stocked bar, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that drives guest satisfaction and revenue through smart upselling of beverages and snacks.
Note:
This role primarily involves working behind the bar, with potential for additional duties across the venue in the future. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older due to serving alcohol.
- Operations: Maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues; assist with care and maintenance of assets, inventory, and resources of the location.
- Course Marshall: Ensure customers follow course rules and regulations; minimize slow play/progress; reinforce Health & Safety notices as required.
- Kitchen: Contribute to preparation of food for casual and function dining; ensure adequacy of supplies at cooking stations; prepare frequently needed ingredients; review bookings for catered activities; adhere to Health, Safety & Hygiene rules without exception; inform the duty manager of items/ingredients to be ordered in a timely manner.
- People: Ensure personal compliance within the BGL Academy at all times; maintain a strong network with Adventure Leisure colleagues to support collaboration.
- Financial: Implement and monitor financial controls; manage cash handling; complete month-end procedures for retail in line with BGL stock procedures; adhere to purchasing policies and all BGL procedures and policies.

Experience:
Ensure all team members deliver outstanding service levels to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
Experience
- 1 year’s experience in a hands-on customer facing role – Essential
- Experience working as part of a large team – Essential
- Experience working in Food and Beverage - Essential
Skills
- Excellent communication skills:
Verbal, Written and Listening - Prioritisation and time management; ability to plan work activities efficiently
- Good presentation and organisational skills
