Engineering Team Leader – Guildford

£38,000–£45,000 expected earnings + 10% bonus + great benefits

Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm - expect 2 nights away from home

If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys leading from the front and taking pride in delivering high-quality work, this role could be a great fit.

We’re recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a specialist provider supporting the energy, waste and biomass sectors. You’ll travel to client sites across the UK (with overnight stays away), work handson with specialist equipment, and lead a small, motivated team.

Please note:

While you’ll receive excellent training, you must come from an engineering, mechanical maintenance, or plant / machinery maintenance background. This is essential for success in the role.

• A genuinely hands-on role working with specialist plant and equipment
• The chance to lead, mentor and support a team of two

• Consistent hours :
  Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

• Working directly on client sites using specialist equipment
• Leading, motivating and developing your team
• Managing tools, stock, paperwork and site processes
• Maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards
• Conducting site audits and driving continuous improvement
• Building strong customer relationships

• Essential :
  Engineering or plant / equipment maintenance background
• Strong leadership qualities
• Experience working with strict Health & Safety standards
• Confident working independently once trained
• Full UK driving licence + right to work in the UK
• Happy to travel and stay away when required

A positive attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important as technical skills.

• £31,000 basic, rising to £33,000 after training
• £5,000 annual allowances + overtime
• £38,000–£45,000 expected earnings
• 10% discretionary bonus
• 30 days holiday including BH (increasing with service)
• Hours :
  Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
• All travel and hotels fully expensed
• Excellent training, equipment and long-term progression
