Junior Estimator

Position: Junior Estimator (Permanent)
We are looking to recruit a Junior Sales Estimator to join a growing and supportive team. This role would suit someone looking to develop their career within estimating and sales support, ideally within construction or a related technical environment.
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

* Quotation & Cost Estimation:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and produce professional quotations based on client specifications, drawings, and project requirements.

* Research & Procurement:
Source up-to-date pricing for materials, labour, and transport. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive and accurate costs.

* Client & Internal Communication:
Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and work closely with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure smooth handover of information.

* Project Support:
Assist with tenders and bids, prepare supporting documentation, and occasionally visit sites to gain a better understanding of project scope and requirements.

* Record Keeping & Cost Control:
Maintain detailed records of estimates and quotations, supporting cost tracking to ensure projects remain commercially viable.
Ideal Candidate Profile

* Previous experience in estimating, sales support, or a similar role (construction or technical background preferred)

* Strong numerical and organisational skills

* Good communication skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work well as part of a team and manage multiple tasks
