This Ofsted Outstanding adult education centre is looking for new team members to join their expanding workforce due to an increase in learners. The centre is based in the community of Cranleigh, near Guildford and currently supports almost 40 students with Autism and associated conditions. Learners are offered specialist day services, with individualised learning support based on their needs and desires.

As a vital member of the team, you ll work closely with the dedicated staff to shape the futures of adults with ASD and other disabilities. Your role will encompass designing and implementing tailored learning programs, offering unwavering support, and nurturing a sense of independence and inclusion. Your passion and experience in the SEN/Care field will be the driving force behind each positive step.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement tailored learning programs for adults with ASD and other disabilities.
  • Offer unwavering support and nurture independence and inclusion.

Your qualities

We re on the lookout for someone who brings more than experience - we seek an individual who radiates positivity, resilience, and a genuine commitment to the cause. Your expertise in the SEN/Care field will complement your empathy and understanding of the challenges our community faces.

Key Skills required
  • Experience of working in community based services or with young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Comfortable working with challenging behaviour
  • Ability to work as a team and build relationships with learners, parents and staff
  • A positive and resilient attitude
  • Minimum Grade C or equivalent, in English Language & Maths is desirable
  • Care certificate is desirable
  • Own means of transport desirable
