Are you looking to kick-start your career in the child development, therapy and learning disability support?
Are you looking for a role where you can support the mental health and development of young people?
We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant in a specialist school in the Guildford area.
The school benefits from a strong multi-disciplinary team of medical therapists, providing excellent care for all: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, special school nurses and physiotherapy. Working together with the knowledgeable and experienced educational staff, they provide a highly personalised and creative curriculum, encouraging all students to achieve their full potential.
The school welcomes students aged between 2 and 19 years old with Special Education Needs including children with moderate, severe, profound, and multiple learning disabilities, as well as those with speech and language, social communication, and sensory processing disorders. The children have diverse needs, including, but not limited to, physical disabilities and medical needs requiring on-site therapeutic care.
This is a challenging role and any previous experience in a relevant field would be advantageous, but is not essential. Training, support and CPD is offered in order for you to perform your duties and to ensure safeguarding of all students.
