Our school is a remarkable place and has been educating girls since 1888. Around one thousand girls, age 4 to 18, from Guildford and its surrounding towns and villages, enjoy exceptional facilities and inspired teaching. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Biology Department at Guildford High School. We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to provide support and classroom assistance during practical lessons. The importance of laboratory work in our curriculum means that our technicians play a key role in assisting the departmental teaching staff to ensure a safe, efficient and well‑organised learning environment for our pupils.
The successful candidate will be passionate about laboratory work and enjoy supporting others in a dynamic science environment.
The role is 37.5 hours a week (5 days a week), term time only starting 20 April 2026. The salary is £21,700 per annum, depending on experience (pro‑rata to the full time equivalent of £28,000 per annum).
