SEND Teaching Assistant - Fixed Term contract starting as soon as possible with the possibility of offering a permanent contract at Worplesdon Primary School - several roles are available.
Working hours 30 hours per week - we can be flexible with part time hours and would consider a job share.
Working pattern: 5 days a week – 8.35am – 3.20pm – 6 hours a day, 45 minutes of unpaid breaks.
Pay scale:
Surrey Pay Grade 3.3 - 38.6 weeks of the year, term time + 3 inset days. £17,263 pro rata salary.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at The Federated Schools of Wood Street Infant School & Worplesdon Primary School. This role is varied, and will be based at Worplesdon Primary School, supporting children with SEND. We are seeking to appoint a pro-active, caring, committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work at our school.
The role will involve providing support to identified pupil/s with learning difficulties.

- Working with a wide range of class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
- Coaching children on a 1:1 or group basis.
- The role includes supervising the children at lunchtime in either the lunch hall or playground.
- Accompanying groups on trips.
- Supporting assessment and evidencing learning.
- Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources.
- Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners.
- Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability.
