TPS are looking for the next generation of Parts Sales Executives to join their sites across the UK through the Volkswagen Group apprenticeship programme. If you have a passion for customer service, or a desire to build a career within sales, but don’t know where to start, our apprentice positions could be for you!

Working alongside a team of experienced sales professionals, you will gain an understanding of what it takes to be successful in parts sales, expert product knowledge and how to provide excellent customer service. You will also develop life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication while you work both behind the scenes and at the front desk. The role requires you to be professional and approachable so that you can accurately assess customer requirements, advise them on parts required and process orders efficiently in a busy environment.

TPS was the first trade operation to be owned and run by an automotive manufacturer – Volkswagen Group UK Limited.

This is part of Volkswagen Group’s operation delivering Genuine Parts™ to customers daily. Each TPS Centre’s stock is maintained by the Volkswagen Group and focuses on the needs of local trade customers. The business is growing and evolving to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Inbound/Outbound call handling.
  • Taking cash and credit card transactions.
  • Delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Using product knowledge to provide advice to customers.
  • Maintenance of accurate paperwork for centre and customer records.
  • Efficient processing of customer orders.
  • Contributing to the delivery of sales targets.
Qualifications

Qualifications Received:
On successful completion of the 17 month programme, you will receive:

  • Level 2 Retailer Standard
  • Brand specific certifications

Scotland / Wales / Northern Ireland

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 / Level 5 Customer Service Apprenticeship
  • Brand specific certifications

Qualifications

Required:

GCSE grades 9 – 3 (A –

D) or equivalent in English, Maths and one other subject. In Scotland, applicants must have or be predicted to achieve Scottish National 5 Grades A – D or above in English, Maths and either a Science or Technical subject.

Training and Requirements

Training will be delivered using a combination of virtual classroom remote learning and face-to-face block release weeks at the state-of-the-art training centre. Training is conducted at the Volkswagen Group National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes. Travel, accommodation, and meals related to training are fully covered.

Your personal, dedicated mentor will support you as you apply skills learned during remote sessions and at the National Learning Centre. You will also have the opportunity to attend Outward Bound to develop resilience, confidence, and teamwork.

This is a fully rounded training experience where you will gain apprenticeship qualifications and brand certifications.
