Vehicle Technician

Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 42.5 hours. Every one in three Saturdays paid as overtime

Job Purpose:
To maintain, inspect, repair and test customers’ vehicles to the prescribed standards in accordance with the Department for Transport, manufacturer and Operator licence Criteria.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards
• Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work
• Maintaining thorough and up to date product knowledge
• Speaking with customers on occasion to provide your expert, technical opinion
• Using specialist equipment such as electrical and electronic diagnostics
• Engine tuning equipment to measure performance
• Rectifying faults on customer’s vehicles in a busy workshop
• Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals

Salary £30k - £48.8k OTE ( dependent on experience)
