Accountancy / Audit & Tax TPF Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an independent and progressive accountancy practice in Guildford to recruit a Manager. This is a senior role within a supportive and structured partner team, offering excellent exposure to a wide range of client work. The firm provides a full suite of accountancy and advisory services, supporting businesses and individuals across audit, accounts, and tax.
They are known for their structured trainee-to-partner development, excellent systems, and forward-thinking approach. About the Role As an Accounts, Audit & Tax Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients and oversee both technical delivery and team development.
Responsibilities include:
Managing end-to-end audit engagements and preparing statutory and annual accounts Preparing and reviewing corporation and personal tax computations and returns Conducting risk assessments and testing key controls Reviewing, supervising, and mentoring junior and mid-level team members Preparing management letters and communicating findings to clients Maintaining and developing strong client relationships, offering proactive advice Supporting partners with client portfolios, business development, and firm initiatives Ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulations, and internal processes Contributing to process improvements and efficient working practices Requirements Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: ACA or ACCA qualification Significant experience in accounts and tax within a practice environment;
audit experience also appreciated Proven experience reviewing and supervising junior staff Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards Excellent client-facing and leadership skills Commercial awareness and confidence managing multiple priorities
