What you need
  • Ontario residents accepted (Terminal in Guelph, Ontario)
  • Minimum 3 years Commercial Driving experience
  • No Criminal Record
  • Clearinghouse Registration- and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to pass a Road Test
  • ELD Experience (Geotab experience is an asset but not required)
  • Positive & Professional Attitude
  • Geographical Knowledge (Canada/USA)
  • Strong Communication of English Language (read/write/verbal)
  • Strong Time management skills (Understanding and Calculating transit times)
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, to transport goods from one location to another based on Driver Itinerary provided by dispatch
  • Cargo securement to prevent damages during transportation.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery while considering factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and road closures
  • Handle unexpected situations such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, or inclement weather, making quick decisions to ensure minimal disruption to delivery schedules
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the equipment to meet regulation and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records to complete trip envelope:
    Mileage, fuel usage, signed documentation and receipts, including other relevant information required per company policy and regulatory agencies
  • Interact with customers and clients in a professional manner, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any concerns or inquiries
  • Maintain communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate schedules, report issues, and ensure efficient operations
  • Adhere to all hours of service, traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards set by provincial, state and federal authorities
  • Follow the principles of GMP relevant to your job responsibilities.
  • Follow the applicable Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures relevant to your job responsibilities
What we provide

  • Guaranteed Salary Income –$80,000/annually (this is not a pay per mile position)
