As the Senior Systems Developer you will be a driving member of an integral team responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of highly complex and diverse team initiatives and provide training and support to the members of your team

How you will create impact:
  • You will lead the process of developing a cohesive plan to determine technologies and options for a working solution.
  • You will develop new code and leverage existing code to implement system features of medium to large complexity.
  • You will create an implementation and troubleshooting plan for a single system.
  • You will identify and recommend solutions for application defects, determine root causes, and minimize the introduction of new defects.
  • You will perform unit testing and project management activities for small to medium-sized initiatives.
  • You will lead system development project teams and provide guidance to junior team members.

To join our team:
  • You have five years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
  • You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • You bring experience with the following technologies:
    • You have worked with modern versions of Angular (18+) and related libraries.
    • You have experience using Node with Express and Type Script for APIs.
    • You have implemented Bootstrap and responsive layouts.
    • You have applied reactive programming using RXJS.
    • You have used Version Control Systems like Git.
    • You have written unit and end-to-end tests in frameworks like JEST.
    • You have implemented internationalization (i18n).
    • You have ensured accessibility using WCAG Level 2 AA standards.
    • You have integrated and worked with 3rd party APIs.
    • You have experience using Design Systems.

  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Expected salary range $72,847 to $121,411

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
