Roofer

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Flat Roofer to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various flat roofing systems for [Commercial/Residential/Industrial] projects. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in modern membranes, a strong commitment to safety, and the physical stamina to deliver high-quality results in various weather conditions.

System Installation:
Install, repair, or replace built-up roofing systems (hot asphalt and gravel) and single-ply systems using materials like TPO, EPDM (rubber), and PVC.

Surface Preparation:
Inspect roof decks, remove old materials, and install vapor barriers, insulation layers, and cover boards.

Waterproofing:
Apply waterproof coatings and sealants to ensure roofs are impervious to rain, snow, and ice.

Flashing & Finishing:
Install appropriate membrane flashing details.

Safety & Maintenance:
Set up scaffolding and fall protection equipment; adhere strictly to OSHA or local safety regulations.

Estimation:
Conduct roof inspections to identify leaks or damage and provide information to office.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in flat roofing or a related construction trade.

Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency with roofing tools (torches, heat welders, power drills) and knowledge of flat roof construction (e.g., warm vs. cold roof setups).

Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods.

Certifications:

Possession of a valid driver’s license and specialized training (e.g., Working at Heights) is required.

Competitive Pay:
Starting at $30/hour based on experience.
