Job Description

The Fire Alarm Technician is a motivated, organized, and personable individual responsible for providing quality service to customers. This role involves leadership responsibilities, including mentoring trainees and assistants, and is a key contributor to Classic Fire + Life Safety’s operations and growth.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Perform weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual inspections as required.
  • Conduct service work and repairs on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other equipment.
  • Install and verify fire alarm system components.
  • Mentor and oversee assistants and trainees, facilitating knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • CFAA Registered Technician status.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the fire alarm industry as a fully licensed technician.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a high level of electronic aptitude.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer‑focused with the ability to empathize and provide exceptional service.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and valid G driver’s license.
