Electrician – Magna International

Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front‑end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck, and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • PLC, Robot & HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Preventative maintenance of injection/RIM assembly automation and paint systems.
  • Repair of equipment and modification of robot programs when required.
  • Design, verification and maintenance of electrical schematics.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining programming, electrical components and schematics standards.
  • Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software and application files.
  • General electrical duties.
  • Completion of all required work orders and associated paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Immediate, open position.
  • Pay: $39.90 – $47.02 per hour.
  • Provincial Electricians Ticket (442‑A).
  • Controls & Automation Technician diploma an asset.
  • Grade 12 English and Math or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as an Industrial Electrician with Automation.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, robot and HMI programming.
  • Proven experience performing electrical/electronic troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Capable of interpreting and designing electrical schematics.
  • Experience completing electrical installation work including wiring, conduit, power wiring and MCC work.
  • Demonstrated skill in technical documentation.
  • Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Sepro and ABB robotics.
  • Computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Results‑oriented and team oriented.
  • Safety conscious and reliable.
  • Good work habits for at least six months in current job.
