Whatyou’ll do
- Assist in customer service by collecting shopping carts from the cart corrals, parking lot and store perimeter, returning them to a safe storage using Walmart approved procedure, and ensuring necessary logs are completed.
- Respond promptly to requests at all registers and safely assist customers with carry outs or carry ins, verifying receipts for proof of purchase.
- Follow established guidelines for occasional cleaning and maintenance of the restrooms, handling chemicals, following correct disposal procedures, and using power equipment—including inspection report completion before use.
- Adhere to safety and emergency procedures, ensuring guidelines are followed properly for hazardous communications, lockout/tagout and blood borne pathogens.
- Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk.
- Contribute to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
- Promote safety by using personal protective equipment—wearing steel toe footwear and a reflective vest during cart collection for visibility.
- Complete safety sweeps as required.
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.75. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
