Role reports to:
Senior Packaging Supervisor.
Location:
North America, Canada, Ontario, Guelph.
Work location:
Fully onsite.
- Perform appropriate levels of cleanliness and housekeeping standards as outlined, consistent with the requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain equipment and tools in a clean, safe operating condition.
- Read the production schedule and collect input from operators to understand goods movements, material requirements and key tasks for the shift.
- Stage totes and materials as required.
- Manage cleaning requirements for common areas, including packaging storage rooms and cleanup rooms.
- Monitor and record all necessary packaging and cleaning/sanitation documentation.
- Accurately and timely record and tag case counts, line events, downtime, and SKU changes in the Plant Cockpit system. Department goal of 95% completion of downtime events.
- Have a sound understanding of GMPs and GDPs.
- Be able to troubleshoot SAP discrepancies and make adjustments accordingly.
- Maintain an updated and current training record and adhere to training timelines.
- Function in compliance with all GMP’s, safety requirements and applicable standard operating procedures.
- Participate, with leadership, in team and department meetings. Daily shift communications and communications with Supervisor, Manager.
- Perform other related or assigned duties as required in all assigned areas.
- Completion of employee orientation.
- Be responsible for working with Supervisor for yearly development of goals and objectives, performance review, and conflict resolution.
- Work night shift—11 pm to 7 am.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- 2‑4 years of packaging operator experience in a regulated environment.
- Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver equipment.
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision.
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges: $41,000.00 – $66,470.00.
