Level 2 - Maintenance Semi Skilled
The Maintenance Semiskilled position assists in the mechanical repairs and maintenance of industrial machinery, equipment and building systems.
Responsibilities- Assist with the inspection, cleaning and basic maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
- Assist with the installation and alignment of machinery and equipment.
- Support skilled technicians in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
- Assist in mechanical rebuilds of the machinery and components.
- Replace or repair defective parts, such as bearings, gears, belts and motors.
- Utilize hand and power tools to perform tasks under the guidance of experienced maintenance personnel.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Close work orders using the maintenance tracking system.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade knowledge is considered an asset.
- Minimum one year's experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Fully capable of Level 1 – Maintenance Labourer responsibilities.
- Familiar with specialized measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges and dial indicators.
