Material Sub Assembler

• Performs routine and repetitive operations of an assembly nature
• Prepare kitted parts for other facilities
• Duties may be any one or any combination of the following:
• Taping of duct sticks for winding areas
• Replenish workbench supplies such as nomex pads, channels, tape, sleeving, weld rod, etc.
• Thermowells (regular, mylar, wrapped and Kanban)
• Prepare kits – P1, 2, 3, 4, 5
• Prepare sleeving for primary and secondary lugs for units requiring them
• Maintains Scrap Procedure
• Collects, sorts, weighs, records, determines reason for scrap, and locks in storage bin

• Must have previous experience welding
• Must have good knowledge of terms, definitions, methods and techniques used in the manufacturing of transformers
• Must have some knowledge of the mechanical and electrical properties of copper, steel and insulations used in the manufacturing of transformers
