Shift: Continental (12-hour Nights) 7:00pm‑7:00am (Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 48 hrs.; Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 36 hrs.)
Pay Rate: $37.90/hr
Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 (net)

The Role
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures. As a B Class Refrigeration Operator, reporting to the Chief Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation/maintenance of all refrigeration systems, boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Principal Accountabilities- Maintain refrigeration with ammonia cooling and compressed air systems.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper operation of plant and office HVAC systems.
- Maintain building, roof, floor and report substandard conditions.
- Knowledge of TSSA standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions such as dust, noise, hot and cold.
- Comfortable working in a raw meat (beef & pork) manufacturing plant.
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Proficient in English (reading and writing).
- Perform emergency duties if required and understand various uses of fire-fighting equipment.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by the Chief Refrigeration Engineer.
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 3rd Class Stationary Engineer or a B Class Refrigeration License is required.
- Ability to work continental night shift (12 hours).
- Experience in food manufacturing environment and CFIA regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Refrigeration Operator.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Available to work overtime and weekends (if required) to meet business needs.
