The Kitting Clerk is a key member of the manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring that all electronic components and materials are accurately gathered, organized, and prepared into complete kits for manufacturing. This role directly impacts production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery by ensuring that assembly teams receive the correct parts in the proper condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of electronics components, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

  • Pick electronic components, hardware, and materials according to production work orders and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and lot codes to ensure accuracy and traceability
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and purchasing to resolve shortages or discrepancies
  • Label and package kits according to company and industry standards (e.g., ESD‑safe handling)
  • Work closely with Production Planning to ensure that production kits are assembled with the appropriate components and quantities to satisfy the manufacturing run. This involves picking parts for kitting according to the pick list and our standard procedures
  • Stage kits for production lines to meet manufacturing schedules
Essential Skills and

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience in either a Receiver or Kitting or Order picker
  • Experience locating and selecting product in a stock‑picking capacity
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and administration skills
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software
  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs, schematics, and work orders
  • Ability to accurately decipher part numbers of a similar sequence or number range
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and be self‑motivated
  • Knowledge of current manufacturing processes/technologies; standards and specifications
  • Work experience with electronics components a definite asset
  • Proven capability of learning new systems quickly
