Overview
The Preventative Maintenance Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between maintenance and operations, developing, coordinating, and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for the facility. Assist with the training of maintenance employees on the proper technique of preventative maintenance tasks and the importance of the program.
Responsibilities- Prepare preventative maintenance plans / instructions and schedules that are in sync with the organization’s maintenance goals and production requirements.
- Maintain work order completion percentage and develop PM recovery plans.
- Assist with scheduling personnel for regular PM activities.
- Coordinate planned downtimes to maximize MTBF and minimize MTTR and minimize interference with production schedules.
- Estimate labour hours, tools, and resources needed to complete different work orders.
- Help maintain an optimal stock of spare parts and materials required for PM in conjunction with the maintenance buyer.
- Prepare and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance checklists and other standardized procedures in the absence of the maintenance supervisor.
- Develop maintenance KPIs with the maintenance manager to show progress toward maintenance objectives.
- Track and trend data to develop departmental metrics on percentage of work order completion; benchmarking; overtime; and planned maintenance completed on time.
- Track deferred maintenance plans and develop strategies to reduce backlog.
- Assist in planning annual major shutdown activities and weekend work as needed when production operations are not running and repairs or PMs/TPMs must be executed.
Millwright 433A License Required Or Equivalent Knowledge And Experience.
Desired Characteristics- Maintenance Software Knowledge (IFS is an asset).
- Establish/Adjust work schedules, and shift priorities.

- Ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and applicable maintenance software.
