Reporting to the Manager, Software Development, this Software Developer designs, develops and maintains enterprise data solutions that support business operations and strategic decision‑making, including data solution architecture, integration, and transformation. Working closely with business stakeholders across departments, this role gathers requirements, implements and delivers data and AI‑driven solutions, and ensures effective knowledge transfer through user training and support.
Key Responsibilities- Design end‑to‑end data solutions (data models, data warehouse, data marts, semantic layers and OLAP cubes) to support analytics, reporting and AI use cases.
- Implement modernization and cloud migration for legacy warehouses and pipelines.
- Ensure data quality, lineage and observability across pipelines and models.
- Contribute to AI project lifecycle activities including data preparation, model implementation, deployment, and ongoing support while building scalable, cloud‑ready software applications.
- Prepare datasets: cleaning, enrichment and feature engineering.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop high‑quality software solutions using various programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Create and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure code.
- Prepare and deliver training materials for end‑users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing data systems and software applications.
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience designing, developing and maintaining data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integrations, or data‑driven applications.
- Strong expertise in database design and SQL, with solid understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval and analysis of large datasets.
- Prior experience in cloud platforms and modern data architectures, ideally with Azure services such as Dataverse, Data Lake, Data Fabric, Synapse, ADFS, and Power BI.
- Experience with AI/ML models, including Transformer models, covering all stages from data preparation, model implementation and fine‑tuning to integration, and performance monitoring.
- Programming experience with Python, C or C# for data processing or application development is an asset.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for software development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
