We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting environmental and socio-economic research (primary and secondary source research), supporting intermediate and senior staff with managing client relationships and projects delivery, and working in a team environment.

Your specific responsibilities will include:
  • Work with our team on significant power, renewable energy, and mining projects
  • Supporting day-to-day implementation of small to large-scale multidisciplinary environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance and due diligence projects across multiple sectors and geographies
  • Report writing, research and desktop studies, with potential for participation in some field programs
  • Multidisciplinary team coordination including compilation of technical documents to support regulatory submissions
  • Implementing consultation and engagement programs, including effectively communicating with clients, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Supporting business development activities, such as contributing to proposals and pre-qualification submissions, and
  • Assisting with project management duties including budget, scope, and schedule tracking
  • Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation.

  • The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree specializing in a related technical environmental discipline (environmental science or engineering, ecology, environmental law/policy)
  • 5+ years experience required (experience in power/renewables/mining preferred)
  • Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong technical writing skills, with an ability to synthesize technical information and develop plain language summaries
  • An understanding of Indigenous communities in Canada, with demonstrated lived, work, or educational experience
  • An understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulatory and permitting requirements
  • Experience in a similar role in an environmental consulting environment is considered an asset
  • An understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards, guidelines and processes is an asset
  • Ability to travel within Canada periodically, as required (up to 10% of the time)
