Job Overview
RWDI is seeking an energetic Senior Hydrogeologist / Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Geoscience team in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical liaison with clients with or without Project Manager involvement.
- Assumes ultimate responsibility for technical integrity of projects and ensuring product quality meets RWDI standards and client expectations.
- Ensures project risks are within RWDI’s standard parameters.
- Technical review of proposals and deliverables prior to client submission.
- Represent the company on liability issues and provide expert analysis or testimony at hearings.
- Participate in marketing assignments or business development initiatives requiring comprehensive technical background.
- Act as a technical leader within the practice area (presenting at conferences, conducting webinars, publishing papers).
- Actively participate in industry/professional organizations, associations, committees.
- Participate in business or strategic planning of the company or Geoscience business unit.
- Mentor, coach, and provide subject matter expertise in training plan execution.
Qualifications
- 15+ years consulting experience focusing on hydrogeology, contaminant hydrogeology, groundwater engineering, environmental compliance, or excess soil management.
- Experience completing hydrogeological investigations, groundwater monitoring programs, and/or groundwater resource development.
- Post‑secondary education in hydrogeology, engineering, or earth sciences.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer - Ontario (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist of Ontario (P.Geo.).
Additional Attributes Considered an Asset
- Strong comprehension of Ontario environmental legislation and regulations.
- Qualified Person per O. Reg. 153/04 for environmental site assessments and/or excess soils.
- Experience providing expert testimony and litigation support.
