Safety Advisor — ISO Implementation & Certification Support

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the implementation, audit preparation, and certification of an ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System. This contract role will focus on hands‑on integration of the safety program into field and office operations, internal auditing, and external certification readiness.

• Conduct site and facility visits to verify ISO 45001 implementation
• Support project start‑ups and safety planning activities
• Provide compliance guidance to supervisors and management
• Monitor subcontractor alignment with safety program requirements
• Facilitate annual safety meetings and management reviews
• Support internal safety communications (toolbox talks, bulletins, etc.)
• Maintain implementation tracking and progress checklists

• Lead a full internal ISO 45001 audit
• Develop audit reports and corrective action plans
• Support closure of gaps and non‑conformities
• Facilitate management review of audit results

• Assist with selection of an accredited certification body
• Prepare teams for Stage 1 & Stage 2 certification audits
• Coordinate documentation and evidence for auditors
• Coach staff for auditor interviews
• Support post‑audit corrective actions

• Approx. 400 hours total
• Combination of site visits and office/virtual support
• Timeline and schedule to be determined based on project needs
