Temporary Warehouse worker Non CDL Driver

Summary

The Warehouse and Driver positions are responsible for ensuring that material is readily available to send to customers. These positions must accurately and safely receive and store materials, as well as picking and packing orders for pickup and delivery to customers, maintaining exceptional standard of customer service.

This is a Non-CDL position. This position has potential to become permanent.

Our client operates locations in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama serving the needs of the construction industry. Operating with three Central Distribution Centers in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi enables the company to offer faster and more efficient service to our customers.

Our customers include plumbing, heating and air conditioning, mechanical, municipal and utility, and general contractors, as well as home builders and re-modelers.

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience in related industry.
• Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to read a map and/or follow written directions.

Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Routinely drives/operates forklifts; works with tools, and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Manufacturing environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.

A consistent presence at work is required.

Must pass company-required drug screen and DOT physical.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel to customer and company branch locations.

Drivers of vehicles that are transporting material intrastate, with a GVWR of 26000 pounds or less are required to be a minimum age of 21 years old and licensed as follows:

• Texas – personal driver’s license
• Louisiana – Chauffeurs license (Class
  
  D)

In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete a Forklift Operator Certification.

7:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

$14.00 per hour.

• Submit a "Clear" drug screen and background check and DOT physical.
• Submit a "Clear" MVR (driving record).
