The Corrosion Utilities Operation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the corrosion control activities within the utilities operations. This role ensures the integrity and longevity of utility infrastructure by implementing effective corrosion prevention and mitigation strategies. The supervisor will lead a team of technicians and work closely with other departments to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:
  • Lead and supervise a team of corrosion control technicians.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Corrosion Control Management:
  • Develop and implement corrosion control programs and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of utility infrastructure to identify corrosion issues.
  • Oversee the application of protective coatings, cathodic protection systems, and other corrosion prevention methods.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and corrosion control measures.
  • Prepare and submit reports on corrosion control activities and infrastructure condition.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and safety, to ensure integrated corrosion control efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates on corrosion control initiatives.
Budget and Resource Management:
  • Assist in the development and management of the corrosion control budget.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
  • Monitor and control expenses related to corrosion control activities.
