Learn About The Buckeye Ranch
The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Team Member Engagement & EQ2 Specialist to join our Residential Treatment Program. The Team Member Engagement & EQ2 Specialist enhances Residential program quality, strengthens culture, and supports team member development by integrating EQ2 principles into daily practice. EQ2 is a trauma-informed program that supports direct care staff in developing the social and emotional skills needed to effectively respond to youth who have experienced trauma and exhibit challenging behaviors.
The program emphasizes the importance of self-regulation as a foundation for co-regulation, helping staff manage their own reactions before supporting youth. EQ2 integrates mindfulness and restorative practices to foster self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a sense of belonging, while also reducing the risk of secondary traumatic stress. This role provides confidential, peer-based support focused on emotional regulation, self-awareness, and relationship repair, helping team members process stress before it impacts youth care or team dynamics.
The position is non-disciplinary and reports themes, not individuals, to leadership. The goal of the Team member engagement and EQ2 Specialist is to reduce burnout, turnover, and relational ruptures while promoting emotional safety, staff retention, positive interactions, stronger client outcomes, and a unified program identity.
