Position Overview

We are currently seeking an HVAC Sales Representative
. This role is critical to the overall growth and profitability of our HVAC Service business. The chosen candidate will initiate, establish, and build profitable service relationships with new customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Follow a disciplined and professional process to identify, target, and qualify prospective new customers, leveraging market conditions and networks to uncover leads.
  • Contact prospective customers and schedule appointments.
  • Build a referral network to identify new customers.
  • Conduct sales calls tailored to identify key problems and/or dissatisfaction faced by Facility Directors in operating and maintaining heating/cooling, ventilation, and control system equipment.
  • Develop urgency to resolve needs and position First Call Mechanical as the supplier of choice.
  • Propose solutions to prospective customers through creative application of local branch service capabilities, emphasizing renewable maintenance agreements and digital service offerings with a focus on sustainability and decarbonization.
  • Understand the customer's business and speak their language.
  • Review and finalize proposals with prospects, securing their commitment to the First Call Mechanical solution.
  • Conduct customer kick‑off meetings, resolve issues, create pull‑through opportunities, maintain service agreements, extend agreements, and support the collections process.
  • Keep management informed of progress and account status using Build Ops and other tools.
  • Develop and implement territory marketing plans aligned with First Call Mechanical’s business strategy.
Accountabilities
  • Continuous learning and development via First Call Academy to set the industry skill bar.
  • Deliver elite customer service, ensuring we remain the go‑to for HVAC & refrigeration needs.
Organizational Alignment

This position reports to the local Branch Leader and serves the entire service team and all customers.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of progressive sales experience.
  • Plumbing sales experience is beneficial.
  • Aptitude for technical knowledge with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills for individual and group communications.
  • Experience selling service and maintenance.
  • Exposure to sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines.
  • Knowledge of building HVAC systems.
Behavioral Profile Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one‑on‑one and in small groups to customers, clients, and colleagues.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute…
