Position SummaryCompletes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans;
using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs following company guidelines under the direct supervision of a qualified shop technician on Walmart equipment such as trailers; create and process work orders; assess maintenance and repair needs; identify needed parts and possible solutions; select the best solution; conduct maintenance and repairs such as dismounting/installing tires, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, replacing lights, trailer door repairs, in accordance with DOT guidelines and requirements;
seek approval for maintenance performed by qualified shop technicians; communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing; complete work orders, logs, and other documents according to established procedures.
Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance; monitor tank levels; prepare fuel samples for analysis and shipping; complete required paperwork.
